Karnataka state launches black movement
On February 7, the way protests and demonstrations are being held across the state over the hijab issue, a black movement of Muslim girls has started in different parts of the state. Thousands of Muslim women protested in the grounds of the C-office, expressing their grief and anger.
Meanwhile, Muslim students of a local college who came to participate in the protest were barred from entering the college by the college administration and similar reactions were seen in many other colleges.

At the time of handing over the memorandum to District DC at the last stage of the protest, the protesting women refused to hand over the memorandum and in front of the media informed DC and SP about all the circumstances and demanded strict action against the college administration. Considering the delicacy of, when the DC assured the protesting women to take action, then the protesting women temporarily ended their protest by giving a memorandum to the DC.
Immediately after the protest ended, the city officials returned to the DC office with the students who had returned from the college and informed them of all the allegations made by the local college administration against the students.
According to the affected students, there was no ban on hijab by the college administration earlier but today girls were suddenly forced to remove their headscarves. According to the students, many Hindu boys of the college were teasing Muslim girls. Yes, take off the burqa, we have to see your figure. The girls complained to the lecturers many times about this matter but no action was taken against the boys. Currently, DC has assured the women and girls that they will talk to the college administration and take action against them.
During the protest of Muslim women, in several colleges of the city, Bhagwadhari goons started rioting by putting saffron shawl around their necks. Meanwhile, students of “ATNC” college located near DC office were divided into two groups and The situation became more tense. On the one hand, students wearing saffron shawls were chanting slogans of Jai Shri Ram demanding removal of hijab of Muslim female students while on the other hand Muslim female students were adamant in favor of their hijab.
In view of the tense situation, the police and the administration immediately stepped up security and brought the situation under control. The college administration announced a day off on February 8, Arrived at the college.
In the presence of the police, the national flag was removed from the college and a saffron flag was hoisted in its place.
